“Why Do ‘They’ Stay?”

Price range: $40.00 through $70.00

Deepening our understanding of the complexities and dynamics of domestic and intimate partner violence.

The objective of this training is to equip attorneys with a deeper understanding of the impact of trauma on the brain.  Explain answers to “why do victims remain in an abusive relationship?  Why do they recant or have inconsistent memories?”  We will utilize an interactive tool to help attorneys gain a better understanding of the barriers victims face when planning to leave.  Finally, the takeaway from this training is how we may work together to create a justice system that is more supportive and responsive to individuals and families impacted by domestic and intimate partner violence.
