An overview of the history and development of the often-overlooked Criminal History Record Information Act (CHRIA).  This presentation will explore what criminal investigative materials are excluded from public disclosure and what may not be.  We will examine specific scenarios where the CHRIA can be leveraged to benefit your client or potentially pose challenges to those who are not familiar with its provisions.
